Being and Doing

Overdoing can leave your being feeling invisible.

Human –Being or Human-Doing

Are you a human-being or are you a human-doing? There is a healthy difference between the two. A human being lives a mindful life based on living in self-awareness, and from this position their doing takes place comfortably. In this case any stress will promote growth. A human-doing is constantly in the act of doing to distract themselves from themselves. They avoid being, in turn they avoid being mindful and fully aware of themselves; lost in the distraction of their doings. Stress is therefore increased as the outcome of self-avoidance when little time is spent on self-awareness. Therefore, there is less personal growth in living as a human-doing. Do you know when you are distracting yourself from being and feeling, therefore growing?
